Reigate Priory travelled to Kingston to face A.M.Y FC (Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth FC) on Saturday. On a bobbly surface, they struggled to play any real football and found themselves one nil down midway though the first half when the ball was crossed low to the far post for Saeed Ahmad to turn the ball in unmarked from close range. Rashid Khan doubled A.M.Y’s lead on the half hour mark when he skipped past Andrew Georgiades and curled the ball into the far corner from just inside the penalty box. Priory started the second half more positively and although they rode their luck at the back a few times pulled a goal back midway through the half when Alex Frullini converted a penalty after being fouled himself by two converging home team players. Skipper Cappa Hughes volleyed against the crossbar late on but Priory failed to record their first points of the season. Encouragingly, fans’ favourite; James Bolton returned to action for the final ten minutes after almost a year on the sidelines through injury. This Saturday Reigate Priory are at home to Westminster Casuals.
