Reigate Priory hosted Lingfield Reserves in the Surrey Intermediate cup on Saturday and got off to a great start with James Long heading the home side ahead within ten minutes but Lingfield equalised shortly after through Lorenzo Lewis who fired into the corner from inside the box. Moments later the away side should have taken the lead but Joel Alexander’s close range effort was superbly saved by Mark Halsey. After twenty minutes play was stopped for Joe Charles who went off with a suspected broken arm having landed awkwardly after a tackle and was replaced by Player Manager Dale Wyatt. A superb strike from 25 yards from Joel Alexander put the away side ahead on the hour mark but Wyatt finished neatly from close range shortly after. Charlie Nash put Lingfield back ahead with a superbly taken freekick sailing over the wall into the far corner with fifteen minutes remaining and Lingfield secured victory with a harshly-awarded penalty neatly despatched by skipper; Connor Leach just a few minutes later.
