Reigate Priory travelled to Mitcham to play London South West on Saturday on their 3G artificial pitch. In a first half of few chances it was the home side that took the lead just before the break when a corner fell kindly to their forward who powerfully volleyed in from 12 yards. Priory should have equalised within thirty seconds of the break but Dermot McInerney failed to make a firm contact on Alex Frullini’s cross. The home side may have doubled their lead midway through the second half with a curling freekick destined for the top corner that Mark Halsey just managed to tip over the bar. Shortly after the home side did double their lead with a far post header from a corner but moments later substitute Arnold Saurombe beat the goalkeeper to the ball just outside the penalty area to square to Max Roberts who turned the ball into an unguarded goal. Then, with virtually the last kick of the game, Roberts got a well-deserved equaliser when he volleyed home from close range to extend the Reigate side’s unbeaten league run to three matches and earn Priory a share of the points.
