Reigate Priory, on a three match unbeaten streak faced, high-flying Tooting Bec Reserves at home in the league on Saturday. Hopes of extending the run were ended early on. After a quarter of an hour the Tooting left winger got around the back of the defence and squeezed the ball in from a narrow angle. Five minutes later Liam Watts headed into his own net and moments later the young centre-back underhit a backpass that was intercepted, squared across the box and turned into the empty net. Despite being three nil down, the Reigate side showed some good signs in the early stages of the second half and Max Roberts was unlucky to have had a goal ruled out for offside. But, it was Tooting Bec that finished the game stronger and grabbed a fourth goal when Mark Halsey in the Priory goal could only parry a close range shot and the rebound was headed in for 4-0; the same scoreline as in the reverse fixture six weeks earlier.
